Professional strategy development and execution of risk management practices include security governance implementation. Salvo builds practical, everyday solutions for current clients, always starting with establishing a clear governance program with leadership support followed quickly by Policy, Procedures, and Standards development. As a recent example, Salvo’s founder was responsible for standing up the security governance program Global Protection of People and Assets , an integrated protective program of people and assets for Walmart Stores, Inc. In this role for four years as the Director of Governance for Global Investigation, Security, Aviation and Travel Division (GISAT), the founder integrated key initiatives associated with protecting people, facilities, information, supply chain, and total-loss strategy. The reach of this program impacted the entire enterprise with development of policy, procedures, defining standards, training development, and implementation of all 17 security programs within GISAT to over 100 countries worldwide.
Customized training and response plans developed to meet current business concerns in the workplace, e.g., Workplace Violence or Active Shooter (Attack) Events. Normally, the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) program at Texas State University is reserved only for the public sector through grant funding. But one of Salvo ’s key initiatives brought the ALERRT Active Shooter (Active Attack) programs to the private sector in collaboration with Texas State University. The outcome has empowered the self-funded private sector with the same vital information that can enhance their survivability of private sector employees should they ever face an Active Shooter Event. As an aside, the FBI in 2013 named ALERRT as the National Standard for Active Shooter Response Training and tasked 200 FBI agents to receive training by ALERRT to support the national campaign. To date, ALERRT has trained over 150,000 Law Enforcement Officers across the nation. Salvo leveraged relationships to bring the ALERRT program to Wal-mart Stores, Inc., resulting in the development of their comprehensive Active Shooter Awareness Campaign. The program has empowered approximately 1.5 million Walmart associates with knowledge necessary to survive an Active Shooter event. Additionally, this program became the foundation of the ALERRT Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course for ALERRT that exists today founded on the same Avoid. Deny. Defend. Just recently Salvo transferred off a four-year contract with a domestic-based Individual/Family supported domestically and International. An example of our special event support reached Italy, where we coordinated a private event for another Ultra High Net Worth Family with 500 guests, 13 villas and chateaus, four hotels, and A-list entertainment from the US. Salvo converted the hotel space into a Special Operation Center (SOC) to manage all operational aspects and movements and coordination logistics of a 50+ close protection team, 100 Mercedes Sprinters, two 747 jets full of guests from around the world, and multiple private aircraft. For the same client in 2018, we provided close protection support during the FIFA World Cup in St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia. Salvo’s founder became the first Security Liaison to the Board of Directors for Wal-mart Stores, Inc. responsible for governance and oversight of all sensitive meetings conducted domestically and internationally. For eight years, this role conducted three to four domestic meetings per year with one international meeting, including such places as Japan, China, Brazil, and United Kingdom. While supporting Wal-mart Stores, Inc., the founder also spent over a decade providing Executive Protection support around the world to C-Suite leadership as well as developing and managing the Global Development and Standards for Executive Protection program responsible for training all international teams around the globe on Executive Protection procedures.
Salvo builds programs first, then trains to standard. Training programs are developed to meet the individual needs of our public and private sector clients. Our training capabilities range from Executive Protection Training, Wilderness Survival, Firearms (pistol, carbine, long range, concealed carry, etc.), Radio Communications, Tactical Training, Executive Protection, Home Defense, Combatives and many others! We can provide such a wide variety of training because we have spent years recruiting a diverse team of Expert Instructors who have years of experience in their respective specialty fields to provide our customers with the best instruction and training possible.
As a boutique company we are flexible which means we are more agile and able to adapt to changing customer needs more quickly. Being a boutique company also means that we are able to provide true one-on-one support to our clients.

We conduct our CCW/Enhanced Carry and Situational Awareness Classes at our conference
room and small shooting range near XNA airport.
Our primary training range “Base Camp” is located on 300 acres near War Eagle Mill. This
range allows us the opportunity to train all the fundamentals of tactics and shooting with a
firearm (pistol, carbine, shotgun). This range allows dynamic movements 180 degrees, flat
range work, and can reach distances out to 750 yards. Additionally, we host all our
fieldcraft, survival, and team-building events on this property as related to all things in the
preservation of life.
We prefer to conduct on-site training. We are location-agnostic to the best of our ability to train in
the client’s day-to-day work environment, and have international experience repurposing client
space into training environments. This local approach instills a better understanding of area
nuances security personnel are tasked to protect. We leverage special resources—such as SIRT
and Simunition Firearms—to enable security personnel to operate and role-play onsite.
