With more than 30 years of experience in protective services, Todd is the founder of Salvo Security Group and a subject matter expert in the field of close protection and crisis management. His extensive experience includes the following:
- U.S. Army Special Forces, retiring in 2007 with 21 years of service. As a Chief Warrant Officer, Todd served as the acting Commander of a Special Forces military Free-Fall (HALO) and Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) team. Trained in operations, intelligence, weapons, demolitions, communications, survival, and advanced first aid, Todd has had the opportunity to train and deploy with some of the best and enjoys sharing these experiences.
- Fourteen years in close protection roles for “Fortune One,” providing security leadership and support to C-Suite executives and Board of Directors with extensive travel to over 50 countries.
- Implementation, training, and governance oversight of Executive Protection teams on five continents.
- Currently, with Salvo Security Group, Todd is still active with providing support to High-Net-Worth and Ultra High-Net-Worth families domestically and internationally.
Todd is also a commissioned law enforcement officer in the State of Arkansas, with 13 years of experience providing support in the development and training of Law Enforcement personal, corporations, and civilians in active shooter response protocols throughout the United States. Todd has been affiliated with the Texas State University ALERRT program as an instructor since 2007. Since 2012, the Texas State University ALERRT program has been recognized as the national standard for law enforcement response training for Active Shooter Events. Todd was also instrumental in the development of a comprehensive Active Shooter Awareness Campaign within Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. empowering approximately 1.5 million associates with the knowledge necessary to survive an Active Shooter event.
Todd is a Commissioned Security Officer and Private Investigator regulated by the Arkansas State Police and a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through ASIS International.
