Being pinned to ground limits your mobility and puts you at a significant leverage disadvantage. This is severely detrimental to protection goals and must be addressed immediately. In this workshop, we introduce two of the worst positions to be pinned to the ground and cover mechanics for escape and regaining control of the situation.

  1. Inside frames, shrimp, knee-to-elbow
  2. Far knee through, high-leg clamp, extend spine, Side Guard
  3. Mount escape-bridge to defend punch, hug position
  4. Arm clamp, leg trap, roll
