This class will introduce students to skill sets for armed and unarmed conflict from within 30 feet. No prior experience is needed.
Topics Covered:
- Awareness, prevention, risk assessment, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Verbal de-escalation theory, technique, and scenario applications.
- Defense against common strikes & offensive striking options.
- Clinch fighting for armed and unarmed conflict.
- Access, use, and retention of weapons for extreme close quarters conflict.
Airsoft, SIRT, and live fire will be used to provide the student with a variety of feedback tools.
What To Bring:
- Notebook and pen
- Semi-automatic pistol & 2-4 magazines (10-15 round capacity)
- Quality belt & holster
- 150-200 rounds of ball (full metal jacket) ammunition
- Eye & ear protection
- Water and Snacks
- Ball cap, comfortable clothes, and shoes
Important: Due to the nature of this course, we require a 6-student minimum. In the event that we don’t meet the 6-student minimum registrations, we will offer students the option to reschedule or to receive a full refund.
Students will be teamed in pairs of two and will work with each other throughout the course. Since students will be working in two-person teams, this is the perfect class to attend with a friend! Don’t worry though, if you attend this class by yourself, we’ll partner you with another student to work with throughout the course.
